Despite our best intentions, human error can play a role in how well we are able to give an eyewitness account of a crime or suspect. Test yourself sometime– you may not be suprised to find out you’re not quite as sharp at this as you might have thought you were. It’s hard! Add adrenalin, or fear from a crime scene and it becomes even harder. Unfortunately incorrect eyewitness testimony routinely puts innocent people behind bars, only to have DNA (often years later, if at all) clearing their name of a crime they did not commit.
New Jersey is trying to make changes that would make it tougher for this to happen. Dave Shratweiser spoke with me on our 6pm news tonight about this.

What a great topic KL! I know how hard it is to remember all of the detais after you calm down. Especially after a less seriuos crime, by the time you get to talk to police etc… alot has faded from your mind. I always try to keep a pen with me. Even if i can just write a lic. plate number on my hand!! Be safe friends!!!!

Whew.
The Full Moon people have started to trickle in.
I had 3 encounters today.
And the Full Moon isn’t until Saturday.
This doesn’t bode well for Saturday and Sunday.
Guess who’s working Saturday and Sunday ?

Perhaps I’m just projecting.
There are parts of my lawn where I make valiant attempts to grow grass.
And not only does grass NOT grow there, stuff comes up and I don’t even know what the heck it is.

On the other hand, in my vegetable garden, where I weed on a sorta/kinda/regular basis…. some really nice patches of grass pop up.
So much so, that I am compelled to get in there and pull it up, for fear that golfers will try to play through.

Ok, I’m gonna actually comment on the blog subject.
Eyewitness testimony……
Earlier in the week, I THOUGHT KL’s right earring was longer than the left one.
Then, I thought, nah, I must be delirious from the heat.
But….. then I thought maybe I DID see things correctly….maybe one is for bass and the other is for trout.
Maybe she’s a walking tackle box !

I’ve been working alot, and this weekend I had planned to get a lot of yardwork done.
My landlord recently cut down a tree in my yard, and they ground the stump, leaving the wood chips in a pile.
Job # 1 was removing them and putting down topsoil and planting grass seed.
Ahhhh…..but the best laid plans of mice and bloggers…..
