The bottom picture is of my little guy and my dad and I took it about three weeks ago while my family visited the country, as well as several others in the Caribbean. Little did any of us know back then what devastating destruction was in store for the island not even one month later…
The people of Haiti need our support, our help, our love– and our money.
On my facebook page people have been posting ways we can chip in and do our part, so I wanted to share a couple of them since so many of you want to reach out and help this island nation.

wow! it seems like the poorest nations always get a raw deal from nature too!! Sri Lanka seems to flood every year etc…. what a close call KL!! Cant believe you were just there!!!

I have heard of several church groups collecting donations, but let’s be frank, what the people need (to quote former President Bill Clinton) is cash, and our prayers. They don’t need our old blankets and coats, so if you really want to help send a dollar, or ten, or more. Just something to think about.

The news just continues to be more devastating from this poor country. I am angered by the people saying there has been too much media coverage. What is the media FOR? Can’t we think of other people for once? It’s not all about the housing crisis and our poor economy. You want to see a poor economy? And that was Haiti before the quake. It’s unimaginable what they are left with now. Less than nothing. My heart breaks for the Haitian people.

Hi KLites!!! Just watching the news. Why would somebody send a box of corneas??? Not many details but im sure KL will get on it!! The worst part is that somebody left them out and they all went bad? Feels like a Monday??
