I am prepping for the 10pm, talking news coverage on a couple stories with Dawn Stensland and Joyce Evans, and listening to some songs that Eric Bazilian (Hooters) sent me. He is a friend of mine, as the regular bloggers will recall. I am struck by how talented musicians in Philadelphia are, Hall and Oats for example, LOVE THEM! Eric’s songs are great, I love his style. Oh– did you see he and Rob Hyman performed the anthem for a Phillies Game recently? [youtube]http://www.youtube.com/v/BqLGy1yuyeg&hl=en”>[/youtube] I love listening to songs and wondering why a composer chooses the words they choose…. I love trying to figure out what a singer/songwriter is thinking or trying to convey with their music.That reminds me– I owe Johnny Goodtimes my “Top 10 Least Favorite Songs” of all time. Gotta get back to work… but just wanted to leave you with an evening update

It’s 3:41pm… the Love Park Health Fair was really fun, I met a bunch of viewers and learned a lot. I’ll post pictures in a bit…
I’m now prepping for the 5pm newscast, but wanted to check in quickly and see what you wer e all up to.
My facebook update: I just reconnected with 5 new friends from highschool and my teenage years. Love it, so fun.

It’s 11am–and it’s a lovely day outside, low humidity, not terribly hot. That being said, the kids at the park at the end of my street are in bathing suits running around through the sprinklers and playing in the shade. It’s still pretty warm out there.
I am racing off to a Health Fair at Love Park, it’s going on right now, and lasts until 2pm, so hopefully you can eat your lunch outside today if you work in the city, and come visit! There will be lots of great information.. and music! It’s sponsored by WJJZ Radio. Power 99 was there too.
It’s 9am— I just finished watering all the flowers, baskets, window boxes and even my neighbors herb garden containers, so watch, now there will be a massive rainy thunderstorm. Ran some errands, am totally ready for an ice coffee, and so the day goes so far….
I’ll be in, as usual, to do the 5 and 10pm tonight.. hopefully you can tune in, or watch on your laptop. Remember, during the 5 or 10pm hours, you can go to http://www.myfoxphilly.com/ and watch our shows live!

I got home on Sunday around 4:30 PM and I had a nap.
When I woke up, the clock read 7.
I thought it was 7AM.
First, I thought it was Friday.
Then, I thought it was Monday. I was gonna get up and get ready for work.
Then, my sanity (such as it is) returned.

Speaking of that, on Sunday, I DID remember my sunglasses, and with the exception of a ten minute period around noon, the sun was behind the clouds ALL day.
Then, when we took the boat out of the water, I got in the truck, took off my sunglasses, and the sun came out for the rest of the day.

I like the donuts at Dunkin. The Dunkin near me recently came under new management. One afternoon, I got a coffee (NORMAL !) and a donut. The donut was stale. So, I’m like, ok, they’re new at this.
Then one morning, I got a (NORMAL !) coffee and two donuts. Both donuts were stale.
So, maybe, they make the donuts and become emotionally attached to them.
Fine. But don’t SELL them to ME !

Wow. Five compliments this year ! This is heady stuff. Maybe I should just quit now while I’m ahead.
Then, when I’m old and gray …ok, older and grayer, I can look back and say, 2008….. now THAT was some year !
This isn’t like the old days, on KL’s “horse and buggy blog” when I would GRIND out comments night after night, with not even a HINT of recognition, not a HINT mind you, and now, I’m FINALLY getting some recognition and here we are on this….this…. NEWFANGLED BLOG and I can’t find my way around!
