This weekend needed to be a “home improvement” weekend, where lingering projects were finally addressed. It was rewarding, to check numerous items off the to-do list, and the prize at the end of the day, was a drive to Lambertville, NJ for a wonderful dinner at one of my favorite restaurants.
Let me back up.
My friend and fellow FOX news anchor, Jodi Applegate (with former co-anchor, Ron Corning, WNYW 5) 
introduced me to what is now one of my most favorite places on earth. In fact, I’m reluctant to share it because I almost hate to let out this wonderful secret, but I will. The Boathouse.
That is what makes me come up with any excuse I can find to head North on 95 and take the Lambertville exit.
I do love the town: the shops, 
the antiques, the art (Tony Lasalle and I go back several years now, and I was a fan when his studio was in Center City, and several pieces of his art hang on my walls at home)
But The Boathouse is just one of my favorite places on the planet.
It only serves cocktails, no food. But the atmosphere, the ambiance, the house itself (it really is a boathouse!) is just far too wonderful for words. Check it out and let me know what you think of it, I doubt you’ll be disappointed.
I had dinner at Hamilton Grill Room, which is also fabulous. They throw EVERYTHING on the grill, it’s really fun to watch the grill master at work!
Then I came home and like a good blogger, I blogged. Proud of me?

Hey, it’s EARLY and I need new glasses.
I’m on my way out the door to fish in a tournament. The last time we went to a tournament, we were the second ones there. I said, “hey, all we gotta do is poke a hole in that guy’s boat, and WE WON !”
Then, thousands of others showed up. Or, so it seemed.
When I return, this good blogger is gonna…..take a nap.
Sunglasses, I gotta remember my sunglasses. I always forget them. Ya know why ? Cause it’s dark out when I depart.
Maybe if I think of “Steering Wheel Confessions”, I’ll remember.

The week in review…..
First, if anyone had any aorta malfunctions, it didn’t have NUTHIN’ to do with me.
Early in the week, I suspected SOMETHIN’ was up, ’cause I had a LOT of encounters with “escapees”.
Then, David Aldrich blogged about a “Solstice Moon” and that explained everything.
The “Solstice Moon People” encounters continued throughout the week.
One guy told me he had “sleep acnea”.
Not apnea. Acnea.
So, I guess, when he goes to sleep, he turns into a zit.
And, if he doesn’t wake up in time, he STAYS that way.

On Saturday, I stayed home and did laundry, etc., worked in my garden, cut the grass (I got a letter from the FAA demanding that I do so).
Unfortunately, I didn’t have any lingerie projects to address.

My brother used to live up in Lambertville and I would go there often. A couple of times I was up there for the “Shad Fest” Do they still celebrate that?
