I love reading “Down the Shore with Jen,” 
which is a blog dedicated to all things Jersey Shore. Jen writes with great familiarity about each and every shore point so as we head into boardwalk/beach season, you’ll want to check out her blog (and book!) a lot.

If Memorial Day weekend is the official start of the summer season, then this weekend is the soft opening. Why? Because a lot of people who rent out shore houses for the summer can get into their places tomorrow, so expect crowds at the usual 20 and 30 something hang outs like The Princeton in Avalon, The OD in Sea Isle and Keenan’s in North Wildwood. I’ll be in Cape May for my father’s wedding but might be taking a trip up Ocean Drive to hang out with friends.

Thanks, Kerri Lee! I’ve been getting emails and texts about “first night at the P” for the last month — ha! I’m being interviewed by a newspaper there on Friday, but with a book party in Somers Point on Wednesday and Cape May on Thursday, I think I’ll be looking forward to a campfire and s’mores on Friday night… (I’m staying at a campground for the week!)
