Ventura Highway

This is Jake.  I’ll get to him.  But first– do you ever play songs to death?

I do, all the time. 

If I hear one I like, I play it and play it and play it,  while those around me cringe as I reach for the, “Repeat One” button on my Itunes.  Two months ago, it was Sean Kingston’s “Take you There,”  in September, it was Kanye’s “Stronger,” recently it’s been Jordin Sparks, “No Air,” and often it’s something from Coldplay.

And now this one. 

I get it, it’s old; an oldie, but a goodie.  I heard it recently and it stuck in my head, and made me want to go on a roadtrip (maybe the Hott Nanny’s recent post did, too).  I only have one connection to Ventura Highway, and that’s my fire fighter friend from Ventura, California– named Jake.  He drives it all the time, he must, right?

Either way, I bet if you play it, it will stick in yours too. My annoying gift to you
